With Kate Middleton's first appearance of 2025, palace reveals biggest secret of last year

Kate Middleton on Tuesday visited the hospital where she  was treated for cancer last year.

The surprise visit was said to be “incredibly poignant” for the Princess of Wales.

According to a statement issued by the Kensington Palace, “The princess wanted to make the journey to both show her gratitude to the incredible team, but also highlight the world-leading care and treatment the Marsden provides.”

It's for the first time that the palace spokesperson has officially confirmed that the future queen was treated at the same medical facility.

Eye witnesses said Kate surprised patients with her visit and spoke to some who are receiving cancer treatment.

The first official engagement of the Princess of Wales in  2025, coincided with the announcement that the princess has become joint royal patron of The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, joining the Prince of Wales in the role.

It comes less than two weeks after Prince Harry's wife, Meghan Markle, debuted her Instagram account.

The Duchess of Sussex also made appearances alongside her husband to help those affected by the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles.
