Pakistani youth Shehram Wasi has reached a remarkable milestone by winning the highest award at the Harvard Model United Nations (HMUN) conference, recently held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
HMUN, the world’s largest MUN hosted by Harvard University, attracted nearly 1,000 delegates from over 35 countries. Shehram’s victory is particularly notable as he is one of the youngest delegates ever to earn this prestigious honour.
Just a week prior to this feat, Shehram also secured a win at LUMUN, Pakistan’s largest MUN, hosted by the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS).
After his win at HMUN, Shehram expressed gratitude to his school for providing him with the opportunity and to his teachers for their guidance and training. He also shared his pride in representing Pakistan on such a prominent global stage.
It may be noted that Shehram is the son of prominent Pakistani poet Wasi Shah. The poet, who is also a television host and writer, is widely recognised for his soulful poetry and insightful television shows.
