The It Ends With Us drama continues to simmer as Justin Baldoni sued Blake Lively.
In the 179-page lawsuit, the actor/director made a shocking allegation that the actress did not read Colleen Hoover’s novel the film is based on.
“Not only did Lively’s power play cost numerous people their jobs, but at every turn, her wrongheaded creative decisions reflected her fundamental lack of understanding of the book the Film was based on,” Us Weekly reported as the $400 million filing also included Ryan Reynolds.
“This came as no surprise to her worried colleagues, given that, even well into production, Lively had not even read the book,” the complaint reads.
The 40-year-old further argued his claim by sharing a conversation between him and producer Jamey Heath.
“While I understand Blake’s reasons for not wanting to read the book, the book does a very good job in getting in Lily’s mind during her interactions with Ryle and setting up the WHY behind her attraction to him, which ultimately helps us understand why she strays in the end,” the text message reads between the duo.
Justin’s lawsuit comes after Blake filed a case against him, Jamey and publicist Jennifer Abel and Melissa Nathan for orchestrating a smear campaign against her.
