Prince Harry and Meghan Markle found themselves being ridiculed by stars and critics alike, that too for rushing to the scene of the California wildfires which have taken thousands of homes and tens of lives.

Columnist and Assistant Editor Michael Deacon pointed out the dissatisfaction among Hollywood’s elite towards Meghan in a piece for The Telegraph.

His piece highlighted ‘how far’ the Sussexes’ star has fallen, and prompted him to write, “If you want to know how far the Sussexes’ star has fallen in America, consider this.”

“The other day, Harry and Meghan visited Pasadena in Los Angeles to offer hugs and sympathy to survivors of the wildfires.”

And “surely even the couple’s sternest critics, you might have assumed, would give them credit for that”? he questioned before adding, “far from it.”

Because the public went at it and called the couple everything from “ambulance chasers” and “disaster tourists” all the way to questioning if they’ve become Politian’s to be ‘touring’ the effected areas the way they have been.

Not even bags of donations stopped many from accusing the couple, like Hollywood star Justine Bateman.

This prompted Mr Deacon to write, “Yes, that’s how badly tarnished the Sussexes’ reputation is. Even when they show compassion for the victims of a devastating catastrophe, people assume it’s just a self-serving PR stunt.”

Before concluding he also added, “If Harry and Meghan washed the feet of a beggar, their critics would doubtless suspect they were only doing it to promote a new range of Sussex-branded sandals. It almost makes me feel sorry for the poor things.”
