Brooke Shields just broke silence over her feud with Tom Cruise!

Almost two decades ago, the iconic star had publicly criticized Brooke for using antidepressants to treat her postpartum depression.

Looking back at the criticism, in her new memoir, titled, Brooke Shields Is Not Allowed to Get Old: Thoughts On Aging As A Woman, she talked about Tom’s comments, who is a famous Scientologist.

“I was, according to Tom, spreading misinformation,” she wrote, slyly adding, “An interesting opinion, coming from someone without ovaries.”

Adding that if the Mission Impossible actor had “taken a public swing” at her before she became a mother, she “probably would have stayed quiet.”

“I would have ignored his ridiculous rant. I might have been content to sit back while this very famous man hijacked my experience to advance his own (deluded) agenda,” US Weekly revealed that Brooke had written in her book.

“I would have been satisfied that his behaviour would speak for itself,” she further penned.

For the unversed, back in 2005, Tom Cruise mentioned that Brooke Shields had failed to “understand the history of psychiatry” calling her out on using “dangerous” antidepressants.

His comments came a month after Brooke, in her Down Came The Rain, revealed that she had been suffering from postpartum depression after giving birth to her daughter, Rowan, in 2003.
