Kate Middleton revealed how she kept her iconic locks instant while undergoing preventative chemotherapy while interacting with a patient during recent Royal visit.

The Princess of Wales recently visited the Royal Marsden Hospital in London, where she underwent treatment during her cancer, and met with cancer patients.

Katherine Field, a patient at the facility, told People Magazine that Kate shared she didn't need to undergo cold cap therapy, a treatment that helps reduce hair loss during chemotherapy.

"I hate it,” Field said of the cold cap she was donning at the time of the interview, adding, “but I think it is working. Today there is a little bit of hair coming out, but I’m just trying to delay it."

She was then asked if Kate talked of wearing a cold cap during their recent interaction, to which Field said, "She just said that she didn’t have to have it.”

“For her to lose her hair, which is so iconic, would have been awful,” Field, an art historian and curator, commented. “Everyone loves her hair!"

Speaking of her interaction with the Princess of Wales, she said, "It was just like talking to a friend about a really horrible time in life and how you find ways of getting through it. 'Finding the new normal' is what she said, which is absolutely true.”

"I really love the photo. It was a special moment that not many people get to have," Field continued. "Unfortunately, I had to get cancer to have that moment, but I will add it to my album for sure.”

“I want to remember the good, not just the bad."
