Supermodel and entrepreneur Tyra Banks has heartbreakingly revealed that she discovered her LA home has been destroyed in devastating fires.

On Monday, January 20, the 51-year-old was on the Australian breakfast show Sunrise, where she was asked about the fire and how it caused so much damage.

Speaking about her family and friends, the Dancing with the Stars alum, who has a 9-year-old son named York with ex-boyfriend Erik Asla, quipped, "Some are doing okay; some are not doing so great."

The host also enquired if she knew anyone who had lost their home, to which Banks replied, “I’m one of them. I lost my house."

She added, “I haven’t really talked about it but, yeah, I have. I just didn’t want to pull a lot of attention to me, I feel that there's a lot of people that need that attention, so I haven't really talked about it, but I can't sit here and not tell the truth, so yeah we lost our house."

Banks went on to reveal that she and her boyfriend, Louis Bélanger-Martin, were at a friend's house in Australia when they got to know about the destruction of their home.

Shedding light on this, she mentioned, “We were celebrating and just having fun. I kept checking my phone, not for my house, but just for friends and family. I was just making sure they were evacuating and everything.”

After finding out their home had burnt, the Higher Learning actress said, "I pulled it together. I didn’t say anything to my friends. I just stayed in that moment. Then we went home and we cried. We had our moment."

Notably, even though Tyra Banks’ house was destroyed, she luckily ended up saving many of her mementos because of living in both New York and Australia.
