Richard Gere, an actor best known for his role in Pretty Woman, sat down for an interview with Elle Espana where he opened up about his life since moving to Spain.
He moved to the country along with his wife, Alejandra Silva as well as their children, 5 year old Alexander, 4 year old James and 11 year old Albert.
"The truth is that you are seeing us in our momentum. We are happier than ever. [Alejandra], because she is at home and I because, if she is happy, I am happy,” he explained.
The actor revealed that he and his wife share a love of environmental work, having collaborated on several projects together.
"We can all minimize this sense of ego, of the self. And that's when true change occurs. My wife shines for her open-mindedness and her genuine sense of gratitude," he added, “So connecting with that, however you do it, whether you consider it spirit or religion, love or compassion ... it's infinite."
Silva revealed that the couple have been in sync since they met each other, and their goals have only continued to align since then.
“We are like soulmates. We have the same values, we see the world in the same way and from the first moment we felt like we have known each other for a long time. And this only happens once, if it happens at all ... We were united by the karma of our past lives,” she elaborated.
Gere had previously stated that they were moving to Spain to connect with Silva’s culture and for her to feel more at home.
