In his statement, Malik placed the responsibility of providing security to Benazir Bhutto on former president, General (retd) Pervez Musharraf. Malik told the investigation team that he had met Musharraf several times and had written numerous letters seeking security for Benazir Bhutto.
Malik added that the former president and the government did not provide the required security for Benazir Bhutto.
