Jim Carrey just revealed the beef an A-list celebrity had with him while they worked together.

The 63-year-old comedian, renowned for his roles in films like Dumb and Dumber, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective and The Truman Show, opened up about the time he was called a “buffoon.”

Recalling his interaction with Tommy Lee Jones at a restaurant, with whom he worked together in 1995’s Batman Forever, Carrey remembered it be rather unpleasant.

"I went over, and I said, ‘Hey Tommy, how are you doing?’ and the blood just drained from his face, and he got up shaking - he must have been in mid-kill-me fantasy or something like that,” he revealed at the Norm Macdonald Live show.

Jim continued, "He went to hug me, and he said, ‘I hate you. I really don’t like you'. And I said, 'What’s the problem?' and pulled up a chair, which probably wasn’t smart."

In response to which Tommy told him, "I cannot sanction your buffoonery."

As per Ladible, this interaction that Jim Carrey had, happened just a day before the two had to shoot one of the prime scenes of the movie, referring to which, the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 star said of the interaction, "I was the star and that was the problem. He's a phenomenal actor, though. I still love him."
