Kody Brown’s ex-wife, Meri Brown, recently got candid and opened up about her child’s care amid family feud.
In a new episode of Sister Wives, Meri talked about the breakdown of her family's funds, claiming that it was not always right.
Talking to her friend Jen, the 54-year-old shed on the property drama, saying that her former husband never thought of giving her an equal share of their family’s Coyote Pass property.
She said, “His whole big thing then was I would get two acres. Two acres. He's like, ‘Well, you don't need as much because you don't have as many kids.’”
Jen mentioned that Meri "paid equally" for the land in Flagstaff, Arizona, even though she only has one child named Leon with Kody.
The mother of one went on to explain by quipping, “I don't know if they don't remember, like, when our funds were all together and those family funds that I helped with went to the kids’ college, went to property. It went to everything. We had a family fund.”
Reminding Meri that she deposited money into the family band when she tied the knot with Kody, Jen said that money “paid out for the majority of the kids’ colleges, but not Leon’s.”
Jen revealed that the family fund “went to the majority of the kids’ cars, but not Leon’s,” to which Meri agreed.
Meri stated, “I paid for Leon's college,” highlighting that she also paid for her child’s car payment without using the family slush.
“I really don't know how much of the family fund actually paid for other kids’ school or cars, but I know that my kiddo's school was not taken care of from the family fund,” she claimed.
It is pertinent to mention that Kody Brown and Meri Brown share only one child, while the 56-year-old has five kids with his ex-wife, Christine Brown, and three with his only remaining wife, Robyn Brown.
