James Gunn, an American filmmaker and the head of DC studios, recently revealed the fate of a certain character on Bluesky.

After the release of season one of Creature Commandos, fans of the show were left confused about the fate of Clayface.

When he was asked about it, he responded through the use of an iconic Batman line, “The reports of Clayface’s death have been greatly exaggerated. He is quite mushy though.”

Fans quickly responded to show their excitement, with one user writing, “I just finished creature commandos last night, this is amazing news.”

Another user laid out their theory about the reason behind the character not being dead, “I mean, it makes sense, the princess’s plan relies on them finding Clayface, it’d make sense for him to play dead so they could easily find him.”

In another post, Gunn expressed his excitement over the finale of the series, but admitted that it was tempered by the tragic fires in L.A., “I’ve been looking forward for months to sharing the finale of #CreatureCommandos today, as it’s one of my favorite things I’ve been part of."

He continued, "Unfortunately due to the fires & the loss of life & the loss of the the homes of so many people I love, this day is less celebratory than I had hoped.”

James Gunn concluded, “But I am still overwhelmingly proud of the episode & the incredible work Dean & BobbyPills & the team have done. It’s a beautiful piece of work. Stay safe.”
