Shawn Mendes gets honest about his dating plans

Shawn Mendes had a last high-profile romance with Camila Cabello. But now, in the wake of his recent remarks about his sexuality, the Mercy singer opened up about his dating plans.

"Yes. For sure. I think, yeah," the Stitches hitmaker said on John Mayer's How's Life. "I guess as long as we're living, we are healing."

Elsewhere in the interview, the Lost in Japan singer admitted to feeling "sucked" when he listened to his tracks.

"It sucks to feel like … It's a funny feeling to feel like you're being written about," he added. "And maybe the whole picture's not being expressed."

Confessing what he feels about his music, Shawn also mulled quitting his music career.

"I actually took a small therapy course and I was like, 'I might just become a therapist in a small town,'" the year-old gave an insight into his alternative plan.

"It'd be weird at first for everyone, and then eventually they would just get used to it," he concluded.
