Lili Reinhart opens up about her battle with interstitial cystitis

Lili Reinhart has come forward with her health battles that has made 2024 ”the worst year of my life”

Taking to Instagram, the Riverdale star Lili Reinhart shared her diagnoses with interstitial cystitis ”a mysterious autoimmunity/inflammatory disease".

Her heartfelt post was made after her interview with the Self Magazine, where she talked about the health difficulties she’s been facing since 2024.

According to the Riverdale star, she has been facing health issues since the summer of 2024, while filming in Germany for her upcoming movie American Sweatshop.

She said the doctors had regarded to her bladder discomfort as a minor infection prone to women, and worked with antibiotic.

The ineffectiveness of this compelled Lili to consult with more experts who finally diagnosed her with interstitial cystitis, "No tumors, no cysts, just a lot of inflammation," said Lili.

By the end of her post, she shared how her grandmother was able to get diagnosed with ovarian cancer only after she persisted for a test, which resulted in a fatal delay to her cancer treatment and eventual death.

Urging everyone else to listen and advocate for their body. "Listen to your body, and don't take no for an answer. Don't let a doctor tell you that nothing's wrong when you know that there is," she told the outlet.

Prior to the diagnoses, Reinhart, a vocal mental health advocate, has also suffered other health issues in 2022 including, gut issues, Celiac disease, and Crohn’s disease.
