First update for ‘Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow' revealed

DC studios is officially in the works for the production of Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow with star Milly Alcock, the new super girl, and DC studios Co-chief James Gunn has just shared his first picture from the set.

Gunn taking to social media wrote ”Thrilled to see cameras roll at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden on Supergirl,” giving a nod to Alcock, director Craig Gillespie, screenwriter Ana Nogueira, Bilquis Evelyand, and Tom King.

This movie is based on Tom King’s 2022 comic illustrated by Bilquis Evelyand and Gunns vision of a “more hardcore” supergirl who travels across galaxies to avenge the killing of her father. It is set for a June 26, 2026 release.

Staring alongside are, Matthias Schoenaerts as the lead villain, Krem of the Yellow Hills; Eve Ridley playing Ruthye Marye Knoll, the girl who recruits Kara Zor-El (a.k.a. Supergirl), David Krumholtz and Emily Beecham as Supergirl’s parents.

The movie will also have Jason Momoa make an appearance as the alien mercenary Lobo, and Krypto the Superdog.

Alcock, has previously stared in the first season of HBO’s House of the Dragon, and was cast as Supergirl when she auditioned on the set of Gunn’s film, Superman, leading to rumors of her possible appearance as Supergirl siding kryptonina cousin, Superman when it releases in July.
