Sam Mendes has been planning to release four movies based on the life of members from The Beatles.
“The cast is coming together and the world is watching, but more importantly,” a source close to Mendes told Life & Style.
The musical band of 1960 comprised Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, John Lennon, and George Harrison.
“The surviving controllers of the Beatles’ legacy are watching – Paul [McCartney], Yoko [Ono], Ringo [Starr] and Olivia Harrison.”
“That does not change the fact that they are going to be making four entire feature films, one about each band member, and each one absolutely filled to the brim with The Beatles music most associated with that individual member,” they added.
Moreover, the insiders revealed the expected release date, and continued, “They actually will not start filming these movies until late 2025, the massive question hanging over this project is how long it will really take.”
“Even if they stick to the roadmap and start shooting one year from now, the plan is to make four great movies back-to-back and release all four in 2027.”
“Almost nobody in town believes that is really possible, no matter how calm and reassuring Sam Mendes is about his plan.”
“It’s a once-in-a-lifetime project, sure, but it’s also going to take what feels like a lifetime to actually get these movies completed and in theaters,” the tipster concluded.
For those unversed, The Beatles have released more than 200 songs between 1960 to 1970.
