Aerosmith gears for comeback post retirement announcement

Aerosmith is set to make their comeback!

The band, who announced six months ago that they would no longer be touring due to their front man, Steven Tyler, fracturing his larynx, are set to return to the stage for the vocalist's sixth annual Jam for Janie Grammy Awards Viewing Party.

They are expected to perform at the Hollywood Palladium-based charity event on February 2, 2024.

However, even though the iconic band is comprised of Tom Hamilton, Brad Whitford, Joe Perry, and Joey Kramer along with Tyler, Billboard has only confirmed Perry and Hamilton’s names, with no mention of Kramer and Whitford.

Additionally, even the non-profit organization, Janie’s Fund helps young women and girls who were victims of abuse, this year the endeavor is also set to support the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation and the Widows, Orphans, and Disabled Firefighter’s Fund.

"What the Los Angeles community has endured with these wildfires is unthinkable,” Tyler said of the devastating LA wildfires.

He continued, "Music has healing powers and we hope to bring a moment of joy and levity to our first-responder firefighters and those most affected by the fires.”

"The trauma experienced by the girls we work with is also unthinkable and we will continue to shed light and support the amazing work of Janie’s Fund,” the Dream On hitmaker added.

Aerosmith’s reunion comes after Tom Hamilton mentioned to Boston radio station WBUR that the legendary rockers could "do something in the future" if Steven Tyler wanted to.
