Brooke Shields reveals 'hysterical' comment she got over aging appearance

Brooke Shields is opening up about the comments she gets from fans about her looks as she ages.

Brooke, who became a household name in her teenage years due to her beautiful appearance, is now facing immense backlash from netizens over her aging appearance.

In response to the comments, the Mother of The Bride actress decided to pen a memoir titled Brooke Shields Is Not Allowed to Get Old: Thoughts on Aging as a Woman.

On the back of her book, the actress had some of the harsh comments printed.

"It was my idea, I don't normally read them and I said I don't really feel like doing the research on this, but if somebody from the publishing house can dig up some of the most ridiculous quotes, let's look at them,” she said, per Radar Online.

She continued: "There was one that they didn’t put in, which I thought was hysterical, which was 'She's aged like sour milk'. I have to laugh at these things, right?"

She said of her posts: "I'm sharing it more coming into this era. It's not a case of, 'I've been like this and now I’m coming out as that'. It's just more of me."

Reflecting on her approach to her looks and personality, she said: "I don’t mind being funny, because I am. I'm a dorky person in many ways. I'll do something and I'll think that was so not cool, but it's just part of who I am. When you physically put yourself down, though, I used to say, 'I'm the big girl… I’ve got man hands', and it was funny, you start thinking, 'That's not fair.'”

She noted: "If your daughter said that about herself, you would put her in the corner and say, 'Do not do that'."

Brooke Shields is currently promoting her memoir Brooke Shields Is Not Allowed to Get Old: Thoughts on Aging as a Woman.
