Evan Rachel Woods just spoke out after Marilyn Manson was declared innocent due to lack of evidence.
For context, the actress, who was also Manson’s former partner was one of the dozen women who accused the rocker of s**ual abuse and domestic violence.
However, according to Deadline, the District Attorney of Los Angeles, Nathan Hochman, said, "We have determined that allegations of domestic violence fall outside of the statute of limitations, and we cannot prove charges of sexual assault beyond a reasonable doubt."
After the shocking statement was made, which came after over four years of investigation of the allegations made against the artist whose real name is Brian Hugh Warner, Woods addressed the situation with a statement of her own where she said:
"Evidence of violent crimes should not have an expiration date. I am grateful for the work law enforcement has done, and I am endlessly proud of all the survivors who risked everything to protect others by speaking the truth."
This comes amid Marilyn Manson’s attorney, Howard King, speaking to Daily Mail over the verdict, where he mentioned, "We are very pleased that, after a thorough and incredibly lengthy review of all of the actual evidence, the District Attorney has concluded what we knew and expressed from the start - Brian Warner is innocent."
