Inside King Charles, Melania Trump's ‘pen pal' friendship

Melania Trump once admitted that she often writes to King Charles.

The First Lady of the US and Donald Trump’s wife, Melania revealed that she holds great respect for His Majesty and has an ‘ongoing correspondence with him’ after their first meeting in 2005.

This comes as Daily Mail Royal Editor Rebecca English says that King Charles will be looking forward to welcome Trump and Melania on their official visit to the UK.

Back in 2022, when Queen Elizabeth II passed away, Melania also wrote a heartfelt note for Her Majesty.

As reported by People, the First Lady wrote last year: "As we bid farewell to Her Majesty, we extended a cordial invitation for her return visit to the United States.

She added: “She expressed her gratitude with a warm smile. Sadly, Her Majesty wasn’t able to visit with us again before her death in 2022, but our friendship with the Royal Family continues, and we exchange letters with King Charles to this day."
