Tom Green is letting his fans in on his decision to move back to his homeland after spending two decades in Los Angeles.
The Tom Green Show star, 53, was promoting This Is the Tom Green Documentary—streaming on Amazon Prime Video—when he opened up about the big move.
“I’m not really a Hollywood guy,” Green said. “I started to feel like I wasn’t being true to my authentic self.”
Glenn Humplik, his costar on The Tom Green Show, also revealed how much it means to the comedian in a phone interview with the outlet
Humplik recalled that the actor-comedian was often “reserved,” “serious,” and “analytical about every single comedy bit and thing that he does.”
The documentary is set to display both his rise to fame as well as his life countryside, where he lives on a 150-acre farm in a remote area of Ontario alongside chickens, a mule, a donkey, and other animals.
“People are probably going to be surprised that I’m not, like, completely crazy,” Green said of his depiction in his new documentary.
“There’s a sort of a wholesome heartwarming thing to this — that I have a close relationship with my family, that I love animals, that I enjoy doing a lot of things that a great many people in the world enjoy doing, like getting out into the woods,” he explained.
His farm life also features moments with his new fiancée Amanda Nelson, a fellow Ontario native who he proposed to in December after reconnecting when he moved back to the country.
