Pamela Anderson recently opened up about how accepting the role in film, The Last Showgirl was instinctive for her.

For the unversed, Anderson plays Shelly, a single mother who's been performing in a Las Vegas revue, Le Razzle Dazzle, since 1987 in the Gia Coppola directional.

The 57-year-old actress told Elle Digital’s January issue while highlighting her decision to play a leading role said recalled that she was handed the script for the film by her son, producer and actor Brandon Lee.

“This might be my only chance to do a film,” Anderson said, adding, “So I’m going to give it all I’ve got.”

The Canadian-American actress added, “I always say the win is in the work.

“I got to do something I really love, and I needed to do that for my soul.”

According to the Baywatch actress, this really was a film about women created by women.

 “There were so many women on this set, from our DP to the girl carrying the boom,” she maintained.

Her interview comes a day after she shared a surprising reaction to Oscar snub for The Last Showgirl, saying, "Not being nominated for an Oscar isn't a big deal to me," Anderson said. "What matters most is that I did my best work, and I'm proud of what I accomplished."
