King Charles has left his personal royal photographer ‘delighted’ and ‘hugely honoured’ with latest move.

Taking to Instagram, the royal family shared a photo of the monarch to mark Burns Night with sweet statement.

The striking snap was captured by Millie Pilkington, who has photographed the Royal Family on multiple occasions over the years.

Commenting on the post, Millie said, “Happy Burns Night to all! And thank you Your Majesty for asking me to take this portrait. Hugely honoured as always.”

She also shared the same photo on her Instagram handle and wrote, “Delighted that His Majesty The King has shared one of my portraits taken at Balmoral on the @theroyalfamily Instagram this morning, in celebration of Burns Night.”

King Charles portrait was released almost 12 months after Palace revealed that the monarch had been diagnosed with cancer and had begun treatment.
