'Strictly' star Wynne Evans at risk amid 'BBC' controversy

Wynne Evans is facing mounting pressure as the BBC may cut ties following his crude remark about a female presenter, just weeks after a "groping" allegation.

The 52-year-old Strictly Come Dancing star was filmed by The Mail on Sunday making a s**** comment during a photocall for the Strictly live tour in Birmingham earlier this month.

He was heard suggesting a "three-way s**** session" with presenter Janette Manrara, using the term "spit roast."

This follows claims from October 2024 that Evans "groped" his dance partner Katya Jones during the show.

However, both the opera singer, known for the Go Compare adverts and his BBC Radio Wales Show, and Jones said it was a joke that had been misunderstood.

A few weeks later, Evans was embroiled in another controversy after making a joke to a make-up artist, saying his double chin looked like a "vagina."

After facing criticism for his third incident in three months, brand and culture expert Nick Ede shared with MailOnline, saying, “I think the BBC will have to tread very carefully with Wynne, as his controversial and lewd comments will soon outweigh his popularity, and the BBC won't tolerate this anymore.”

“He will hanging on to his position but all eyes will be on him and if he makes another negative move the BBC may have to sever their ties with him,” Ede noted. (sic)
