King Charles reportedly granted a special permission to his sister-in-law Duchess Sophie, who turned 60 earlier this month.
According to a report by The Sun, per Hello, Duchess Sophie rang in her 60s in style as she was surrounded by friends and family including Kate Middleton and Prince William on her special day.
The report further claimed Prince Edward’s sweetheart kicked off her day with a round of pheasant shooting on the Windsor Estate with 10 of her closest friends.
The insiders told the outlet, Duchess Sophie got a special permission for shooting from King Charles.
As per Hello, going pheasant shooting is a decades-old royal tradition, one of the royal family's most controversial hobbies.
It is usually reserved for Boxing Day at Sandringham.
Duchess Sophie reportedly also hosted a dinner and dance at her Bagshot Park home, where she has lived since her wedding to Prince Edward in 1999.
King Charles also wished Duchess Sophie on her 60th birthday with the palace releasing the monarch’s message along with stunning photo of her.
