Cricket fans exhibited extraordinary enthusiasm for the upcoming ICC Men's Champions Trophy 2025 as tickets for three highly-anticipated matches have been sold out.

The ticket sale for the Pakistan-hosted matches of the eight-team tournament went live on Tuesday at 2pm and drew unusual interest from the fans.

As a result, the tickets for the curtain-raiser between the home side and New Zealand as well as the group-stage matches between Australia and England and Pakistan and Bangladesh, were sold out, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) shared on Wednesday.

The cricket board further revealed that only 30% of the tickets were put on sale online in the first phase, while the physical tickets will be available for purchase from February 3 at designated centres across the country.

Reacting to the development, a PCB spokesperson expressed satisfaction with the fans’ astonishing response, terming it a depiction of their support towards the national men’s cricket team.

“The public response to ticket sales has been gratifying,” said the PCB spokesperson.

“The sale of tickets in a few hours is a reflection of the interest of the fans and also that they are standing with their team, which is good news.

“The PCB remains committed to facilitating the maximum number of spectators to watch the matches in the stadiums.”

Citing the high demand, the PCB has approved the sale of 10% more tickets for all matches via online platforms.

For the unversed, the ticket price of the Pakistan-hosted matches of the Champions Trophy 2025 ranges from PKR 1,000 to 25,000, depending on the venues, seating category and also on fixtures.

Tickets will be available in multiple categories, including General Enclosure, First Class, Premium, VIP, VVIP and Gallery, ensuring that spectators can choose an option that suits their preferences.
