"Your favourite Urdu Poets as Superheroes! Because words can be just as powerful as superpowers!" read a caption posted on Rekhta's official Facebook handle. 

The AI-generated portraits reenvision Urdu poets as Marvel and DC superheroes, depicting Meer Taqi Meer as Batman, Mirza Ghalib as Superman, Allama Iqbal as Iron Man, Faiz Ahmed Faiz as Captain America, Jaun Eliya as Doctor Strange, Parveen Shakir as Black Widow.

Furthermore, Akbar Allahabadi has been portrayed as Deadpool, Habib Jalib as Winter Soldier, Majrooh Sultanpuri as Hawkeye, Nasir Kazmi as Spiderman and Josh Malihabadi as Hulk.

However, the post also pairs each image with one of their iconic verses, further emphasising the timeless power and depth of their words.
