'Nicely done': French President Macron reacts to hilarious AI video of himself

Macron uses compilation of AI-generated videos to promote two-day technology summit in Paris

French Pres­ident Emmanuel Macron on Monday posted a compilation of AI-generated videos of himself on social media ahead of the inauguration of two-day technology summit that opens in Paris.

In an Instagram post, Macron shared an video that featured clips in which the faces of characters were edited with his face edited using artificial intelligence.

The clips compiled into one video were created over the years. The post soon went viral online.

One of the clips showed the 47-year-old French president dancing to to a 1980s hit song “Voyage Voyage” by French singer Desireless.

In another clip, he is inserted in a spy comedy film about the exploits of a French secret agent played by Jean Dujardin while in another video, he shows off his dance moves while rapping, channelling French performer Nekfeu.

The video on Instagram was captioned: "Nicely done...”

In the video, the real Macron said: "It's pretty well done, it made me laugh.” 

The witty Instagram post by the French president comes ahead of the AI Action Summit that he is set to host on Monday and Tuesday, in Paris. This event, co-chaired by India, is set to be attended by heads of state and government.
