PML-N candidate arrested for misbehaving with presiding officer
RAJANPUR: A Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate from PP-248 was arrested by police and Rangers after he allegedly misbehaved with the presiding officer of polling station No 168 and slapped him here Saturday.

Senior police officers said that an FIR No 232/2013 has been registered with Fazalpur police station under sections 452/380 DA.

The candidate, a former advisor to ex-CM, Sardar Shair Ali Gorchani, had reached the polling station number 244, Mamoon Wala in Fazalpur, after his rivals staged a protest and levelled allegations of employing election rigging techniques on him and his supporters.

Upon reaching there, Sher Ali Gorchani rejected allegations of rigging, snatched ballot papers from the presiding officer and slapped him. Police and Rangers arrested the candidate on the spot and local magistrate remanded him to police custody for two days, police said.
