Iqbal, who is the PML-N's general secretary, bagged a total of 47,789, while the runner-up candidate, musician Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) Abrar-ul-Haq scored a meager 22,369 in comparison.
Despite Abrar's high hopes of a 'tsunami' in this constituency, he scored less than half of Iqbal's votes.
