300,000 metric ton wheat procured in Bahawalpur

BAHAWALPUR: Approximately 300,000 metric ton wheat has been procured so far in Bahawalpur division which is almost 40 percent of the set target of procuring 736,700 metric ton wheat.

According to the sources of food department, gunny bags are being provided at 70 procurement centers of the division where more than 5 million gunny bags have been given to farmers and growers.

A good production of wheat is being witnessed in the division this year.
