Adding yet another feather to his cap, England’s opener Ben Duckett hit the highest-ever total in ICC Champions Trophy history during the Group B fixture against Australia at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium on Saturday.
Duckett scored 165 off 142 deliveries to overtake former New Zealand great Nathan Astle, who previously held the highest individual total and the first instance of a batter scoring 150 in the tournament’s history, the ICC website reported.
Lacing his fiery knock with a whopping 17 boundaries and three maximums, Duckett was eventually dismissed by Marnus Labuschagne in the 48th over.
