WhatsApp is working on an exciting new feature for its users to edit sticker photos for status updates, and it is set to be released in a future update.
According to WABetaInfo, the new feature is still under development as the popular Meta-owned instant-messaging app actively refining it before its official release to beta testers.
The upcoming feature will enable users to modify the shape of sticker photos before applying them to a status update by selecting from a predefined set of shapes.
These shapes include two rectangular options (landscape and portrait), a square, a circle, a heart, and a star, for a more personalised user experience when applying sticker photos to status updates.
The rectangular and square shapes are useful for creating a collage-like effect, enabling users to arrange multiple images in an organised way within a single status update, making it easier to share a series of related images.
Additionally, the circular, heart, and star shapes are designed for decorative purposes rather than purely functional ones, allowing users to add a more artistic and visually appealing touch to their sticker photos.
For example, users might choose the heart shape to highlight a romantic moment or the star shape to make a particular image stand out. The circular shape could be useful for profile-like cutouts or drawing attention to a specific part of an image.
Users can adapt their sticker photos to suit various themes, moods, and storytelling styles in the future with the help of these different shapes.
