Founder of Beaconhouse School System Nasreen Kasuri was awarded a Fellowship by the Education Leaders Forum for her prominent role in transforming Pakistan’s education landscape from 1975 till date.
She was acknowledged for her legacy of 50 years, which continues to live, by a group of leaders from the world’s most influential education organisations in both public and private sectors.
It is worth noting that Nasreen, who serves as the chairperson of Beaconhouse National University Fund, was also honoured with Sitara-e-Eisaar in 2006 by the Government of Pakistan for her remarkable contributions in the philanthropic and humanitarian fields.
Moreover, she has also received the Woman Power 100 award in London, which is awarded to the influential men and women from within the international Pakistani community.
Her achievements don’t stop here as in 2022, in recognition of her invaluable role towards the development of the education sector in Pakistan for over four-and-a-half decades, Nasreen was given the honourary ‘Living Legend Award’ by the Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI).
Expressing joy over his mother’s accomplishment, Nasreen’s son Kasim Kasuri took to his Instagram and praised her by dedicating supportive words.
“I’m tremendously proud of her continuing leadership in reshaping education and pray she continues inspiring all of us at Beaconhouse in the years of come!” he wrote.
In addition to Nasreen, another honouree included MIT’s Dr Anant Agarwal, founder of edX, the free online learning platform of Harvard & MIT.
