RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has given some instructions about Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Fazlur Rehman, which will be conveyed, PTI Secretary General Barrister Salman Akram Raja said on Tuesday.

Speaking to the media outside the Central Jail after meeting Khan, The News reported, Salman said discussions were held on the opposition alliance, but he would not disclose all the details.

He emphasised that they respected Fazl and wanted him to join the alliance.

He also addressed rumours about Khan’s health, stating that many false reports were spread but the former prime minister was in good health after a routine check-up.

Furthermore, he refuted claims that the PTI founder was being deprived of suhoor (pre-dawn meal for fasting) or restricted from performing religious activities.

Regarding a controversial statement by Barrister Saif, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister's adviser, Salman said PTI spokesperson Sheikh Waqas Akram had been asked to question him about such remarks.

He confirmed that Khan had no complaints about the party, and discussions were held regarding future strategies. Khan has not met his political allies for the past five months, and instructions have been given in this regard.

Regarding legal matters, Chaudhry Zaheer Abbas has been appointed as the legal representative for both Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi. Faisal Chaudhry has been directed to transfer all petitions to Abbas.

Raja criticised some individuals for using legal representation to gain political influence and insisted that those given responsibilities by Khan should focus on politics.

Additionally, Niazullah Niazi has been appointed as the PTI founder’s spokesperson, while Bushra Bibi has appointed four focal persons for her legal and political matters.

Meanwhile, the family members and lawyers visited Imran and his spouse Bushra Bibi at the Adiala jail. According to jail sources, Aleema Khan, Dr Uzma Khan, Noreen Khanum, and Qasim Khan (Imran Khan’s cousin), met Imran and Bushra. The meeting lasted approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.

Later, party lawyers, including Barrister Salman Safdar, Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, Barrister Ali Zafar, Naeem Haider Panjotha, Mubashir Maqsood Awan, Khalid Yousaf, Faisal Chaudhry, Rai Salman Kharal and Tabish Farooq Advocate met Imran and Bushra Bibi for approximately half an hour.

Speaking to the media outside the Adiala jail, Aleema Khan denied rumours about Imran Khan suffering from an ear infection or any other illness.

She said it was her first meeting with him after a week. She revealed that all of Khan’s court hearings had been postponed and that she had also met Bushra Bibi.

She described Khan as healthy and in good spirits, dismissing rumors spread by the social media operatives working as the establishment’s informants.

She questioned their sources of information and denied claims of Khan suffering from a brain infection. However, she criticised the authorities for not allowing Khan’s personal doctor to meet him and restricting his communication with his children.
