Ikhtiar Wali appointed coordinator to PM on information for KP affairs

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday appointed Ikhtiar Wali Khan as his coordinator on information for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) affairs with immediate effect.
According to a notification issued by the Prime Minister’s Office: “The appointment of Ikhtiar Wali Khan shall be in an honorary capacity.”
“It has further been desired that all relevant stakeholders shall extend full cooperation to the coordinator in discharging of official business,” read the statement.
The development came a day after PML-N leader Wali called on the premier and discussed matters of mutual interests.
The overall political situation also came under discussion during the meeting, a press statement issued by the PM Office said.
The prime minister directed Wali to further improve public engagements regarding the party affairs in KP.
