NEW DELHI: The Indian Premier League (IPL) spot-fixing scandal continues to shake the cricketing world.
In the latest development, Indian test cricket Sreesanth one of the three Rajasthan Royals players involved in the spot-fixing scandal spent his money on partying and buying expensive gifts for his girlfriend.
According to the Delhi police, Sreesanth purchased clothes worth over Rs 200,000 and a smart phone for his girlfriend with money he had had earned from spot-fixing.
Earlier on Tuesday, Sreesanth was taken to Jaipur as part of the spot-fixing probe.
In a related development, a link between Bollywood and the scandal was also uncovered. Indian actor Vindu Dara Singh was arrested by the Mumbai Police for links with bookies. Singh according to Indian media reports has confessed to having links with bookies.
