Bakery, food store of Marriot Hotel Islamabad sealed

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Administration on Friday raided and sealed the bakery as well as food store of Marriot Hotel Islamabad.

The ICT team headed by Assistant Commissioner Waqar Cheema said the food store and bakery were serving low quality food items to customers and not keeping their sections properly clean.

Meanwhile the ICT team also visited Islamic International University in the capital city and sealed its canteen due to pathetic condition of cleanliness in its kitchen and selling sub-standard eatable items to students.

The food store and bakery were later reopened by the Islamabad administration upon payment of Rs400,000 fine by the Marriot management on Saturday.

The local administration will revisit the facility in a week’s time for the follow-up inspection.
