WhatsApp is introducing a new feature to allow users to add social media profile links to their accounts and the update is available to some beta testers.

The feature will enable users to seamlessly share their social media profiles directly from their WhatsApp accounts. Once the username of the profile is added, the link will automatically pop up at the top of the chat info page.

At the moment, only Instagram account links can be added but it is expected that WhatsApp is working on to support more social media applications in a future update.

Users can be rest assured that WhatsApp is also providing privacy settings to help them manage the visibility of their social accounts. They can opt to show their account links to everyone or only their contacts giving them full control over who can see their profiles through WhatsApp.

The new link feature enhances accessibility to users' social media profiles allowing for a smoother transition between different platforms.

This feature is not compulsory for everyone and for those who want to keep their social media life private can choose not to add their account links.
