PTI nominates Javed Hashmi for PM slot

LAHORE: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has nominated Javed Hashmi for the post of prime minister.

The decision was announced at a press conference on Saturday. Talking to media PTI senior leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that Sheryar Afridi and Manza Hassan would be the party’s candidates for the election of speaker and deputy speaker of the lower house of the parliament.

He further said that PTI chief Imran Khan would be the parliamentary leader of the party in the National Assembly while Dr Arilf Alvi would be assigned the task of Chief Whip in the house.

The PTI doesn't enjoy simple majority in the house to get its nominee elected as the prime minister.
