CID detains ‘terrorist’ in New Karachi

KARACHI: The Crime Investigation Department (CID) claimed to have arrested an alleged terrorist from New Karachi area of metropolis, Geo News reported.

According to the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) CID Chaudhary Aslam, his department has arrested a terrorist, identified as Rashid Pathan aka ‘Ganja’, recovering 5 kgs of explosives during a raid conducted in New Karachi area.

The SSP claimed that the arrested accused was allegedly involved in Karachi bomb blasts during general elections and target killing incidents in Karachi and Hyderabad.

Earlier, the CID conducted a raid in Sher Shah area of Karachi and arrested three accused of Lyari gang-war.
