Govt to accommodate employees affected by rightsizing

ISLAMABAD: In a significant move, the federal government has decided to accommodate employees impacted by the rightsizing initiative, The News reported on Tuesday.

These employees will be adjusted to the vacant posts available in the ministries, divisions and federal departments.

The Establishment Division has immediately sought details of all the vacant posts available for direct recruitment from all the ministries, divisions and federal departments.

Section Officer Surplus Pool Establishment Division has sent an office memorandum to all ministries, divisions and federal departments, in which it has been directed that the details of all vacant posts should be sent to the Establishment Division.

These details have been sought in a specific format.

In it, the direct recruitment post, grade, number of vacancies, educational qualification and experience required for the post and station should be written.

The letter states that as a result of the federal government’s rightsizing policy, a large number of federal employees will be sent to the surplus pool.

These employees will be adjusted to vacant posts in ministries, divisions and federal departments.
