LAHORE: Pakistani umpire, Asad Rauf has dismissed all allegations of match-fixing and spot-fixing against him, adding that he strongly condemns such acts.
The Pakistani umpire said that these allegations were made by the Indian media, adding that he is only answerable to the International Cricket Council (ICC) as he receives his pay-check from them.
Asad Rauf further said that if the ICC and BCCI's Anti-Corruption and Security Unit (ACSU) decide to launch an investigation against him, he will be happy to answer their questions.
It is pertinent to mention that Asad Rauf’s name is still present in the list of ICC’s elite panel of members, however he has been removed from the Champion’s Trophy to be held next month after the Indian media alleged his involvement in the IPL spot-fixing scandal.
