LAHORE: Police continued the crackdown against Illegal LPG cylinders in vehicles and open sale of petrol besides registering 81 cases against 86 accused.
These cases have been registered against those who were directly involved in open sale of petrol and LPG at shops, using LPG cylinders in rickshaws, keeping out of order cylinders, and keeping petrol and diesel in vehicle in canes or bottles.
A police spokesman said on Wednesday that the City Division had registered 17 cases, Iqbal Town 11 case, Saddar 13 cases, Civil Lines two cases and Catt Division registered 27 cases against them.
DIG Operations Jawad Ahmad Dogar directed police officers that police were responsible for protecting property and life of citizens.
