AJMAN: A one-of-a-kind art exhibition was held in the emirate of Ajman, United Arab Emirates, to celebrate Pakistan Day.
The exhibition showcased stunning works of art depicting Pakistan, created by Middle Eastern artists who have never visited the country but were inspired by its rich culture, landscapes, and diversity.
Curated by Pakistani art enthusiast Saima Furqan and organised by Iftikhar Hamdani, the exhibition invited Arab artists to capture the beauty of Pakistan on canvas. Speaking to Geo News, Hamdani shared: "These are artists who have never been to Pakistan, yet they’ve painted it so beautifully that they now yearn to visit the land they’ve come to admire".
Artists from Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, and other Arab nations participated in the event, using vibrant colours and creative techniques to bring Pakistan's essence to life. Many of them expressed their admiration for Pakistan, calling it "a priceless gift of nature."
Alongside the Arab artists' creations, the exhibition also featured works by Pakistani artists, highlighting the country’s diverse seasons and cultural heritage. From the snow-capped mountains of the north to the vibrant traditions of its provinces, the artworks painted a vivid picture of Pakistan’s natural and cultural treasures.
The event was inaugurated by Pakistan's Ambassador to the UAE Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, who commended the foreign artists for their contributions and extended an invitation to visit Pakistan. "This exhibition is a testament to the power of art in bridging cultures. I invite all of you to experience Pakistan’s beauty firsthand," he said.
