Javed Hashmi calls for local bodies elections

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader, Javed Hashmi has called on the government to hold local bodies elections on an immediate basis.

Hashmi was addressing on the floor of the National Assembly and congratulated Nawaz Shairf on being elected as the prime minister of Pakistan for the third time. The PTI leader added that Nawaz Sharif "was his leader and is his leader."

Hashmi said that the PTI would not play the role of a friendly opposition and would be critical of any wrongdoings by the government.

The PTI leader expressed hope that the democratic process would continue in the country stating the success of Pakistan was linked with Nawaz Sharif.
