Bugti murder case: QTA police team leaves for Islamabad to arrest Musharraf

QUETTA: A police team from the crime branch Quetta has left for Islamabad to arrest former President General (retd) Pervez Musharraf in the Akbar Bugti murder case.

According to sources, the team will seek a travel remand for Musharraf following which he will be transferred to Quetta. Non-bailable arrest warrants had been issued for Musharraf and three others accused by an anti-terrorism court in Quetta in the Akbar Bugti murder case.

On Tuesday, the ATC had rejected the bail application submitted by the former president’s lawyer.

Musharraf and others accused in the case had been nominated by Jamil Bugti in the murder case of his father.
