ISLAMABAD: Karachi Blues cruised into the final of the National T20 Tournament on Monday by beating Multan by eight runs in the semi final at Pindi Stadium.
Karachi Blue won the toss and elected to bat first before they piled up a total of 189 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs.
Fawad Alam smashed an unbeaten 60 including 5 fours and a six on 42 balls while Asad Shafiq made 53 and Sarfaraz Ahmed 38. For Multan, Majid Ali and Rahat Ali bagged 3 wickets each for 30 and 33 runs respectively.
In reply Multan Region scored 181 runs for nine in 20 overs.
Amir Yamin with 45, Sohaib Maqsood 38 and Zain Abbas 33 batted well for their side.
For Karachi B, Abdul Ameer took three wickets for 21 and was declared ‘Man of the Match’.
