Budget FY14: Rs2,172.583 million allocated for S&T Research Division
ISLAMABAD: The government has allocated Rs2,172.583 million for ongoing and new projects of Science and Technological Research Division in the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2013-14.

According to the budgetary document issued on Wednesday, out of this amount, Rs 2,172.583 million is in local currency.

Rs80 million has been allocated for up-gradation of National Physical
and Standard Laboratory (NPSL). Similarly, Rs45 million has been allocated for up-gradation and modernization of a workshop at PCSIR Labs, Karachi, while the total expenditure over this project up to June 2013 was Rs172.595 million.

Rs12.690 million has been alloted for establishment of Product Conformity Center, PSQCA, Karachi, while the total expenditure over the project till June 2013 was Rs5.600 million.

Rs150 million has been apportioned for balancing, modernization and refurbishment of National Institute of Electronics and Rs15 million for Computing Research and Development Center at Bahauddin Zakariya
