ISLAMABAD: An anti-terrorism court on Thursday sent former military dictator General (retd) Pervez Musharraf on judicial remand for 14 days in Akbar Bugti murder case on the request of the Quetta police.
The accused would be detained in his Chak Shehzad residence, which has been declared sub-jail.
ATC Judge Syed Kausar Abbas Zaidi sent Musharraf on judicial remand after he was informed that the accused was included in the investigation at his residence following the court orders as the former military chief and the ex-president was facing life threats from some banned outfits.
The arrest record of former dictator in Akbar Bugti murder case was also presented before the ATC and it was prayed that the accused be sent to remand.
On Wednesday, a police team from Quetta had arrived in Islamabad for arrest Musharraf in the Akbar Bugti murder case.
